Thursday, 6:00 P.M. we will continue with positions.
This will be a review and a discussion. It is to prepare you for a test.
We also will be covering, briefly, serving and slave paces.
As usual, the lesson will be held in the tent at the slave compund.

If you hadn’t made it to the Thursday lesson, please try to make this one. All Free are welcome to participate – as it is the Free who really need to know the positions and when to command them.

A positions lesson on Thursday at 6 p.m. (SL) at the slaver’s tent in the Slave Compound to the north of the city, (earth date: 06.12.2008.)
All Free are welcome to observe and learn (so you will know when to command a position and why.)
We will go over the most common positions (those included in your ‘city’ collar) and covering:
- What is the position called
- The description of the position
- What is the purpose of the position
- When and why such a position would be commanded to you
- You expected understanding and placing of yourself in response to the position.
For example: the kneel.
Are you tired of being a yo-yo? Then don’t be!
Free: it is okay to have your boy or girl remain standing at all times!
A slave kneels when: waiting for a command indoors. Or sits in waiting as you complete your business at hand with other Free.
The perpetual kneel I see in SL Gor actually drives me crazy.
So, to all slaves of Laura: you are not expected to kneel except when you wait quietly or are addressed directly by, and communicate with a Free.
These are the kind of details we will cover in the lesson.
If you cannot make the lesson on Thursday, a refresh of the lesson will be scheduled for Saturday, shortly after noon

Head Slaver of Laura
State (City) Slave Orientation Saturday
We will have an orientation for all state slaves (city slaves and slaver slaves). The orientation will help clarify for you what is expected of you in the Ciry of Laura and go over the rules.
The purpose is to help you understand things and answer questions about protocols, positions and other miscellaneous items. Once we have you feeling comfortable with the rules and what is expected of you, you will be made to help indoctrinate new boys and girls that come into the city behind you.
This will allow Me to focus on lessons.
Because Master Squire has been a Head Slaver in the past, He has graciously offered to share in your training with regard to serving and dance. I, on the other hand will focus on protocols, positions and for those whom have completed serving, massaging and bathing the Free.
This weeks orientation will be held twice to make attendance as convenient as possible:
Saturday: June 7, 10 a.m. and again at 5 p.m. (All times spoken in the city of Laura are SL Time.)

Our opening weekend went smashingly, with many folks inspired by the goings on in the city to sign up! We now have many excellent RPers, and are sure to attract more as time goes on. Aside from some Teleport problems (thanks, SL) it went quite smoothly.
We have now filled our Caste heads, so let me introduce you to them, so you can say hi to them and thank them for their hard work.

Also sitting on the high council with those esteemed folks is our patron saint and slaver, Ari Blackthorne.
Our next order of business is to grow the city in a way that allows us to keep control of the quality of roleplay, so a new application process has been put in place. If you know someone interested in becoming a citizen, please ask them to fill out the application available on the welcome notice, and place it in the box on the table in the scribery. They will be considered by the head of the caste they are interested in first. If they are accepted, they become citizens. If not, they may choose another caste to apply to, or ask to be made a citizen without a caste role.
We also seek low caste members! If you know a blacksmith, lamplighter, woodsman, baker, or even a peasant who is interested in good Gorean RP, send them an application and tell them about our city!
